Visa requirement
If you are not a US or Canada citizen, you will require a B-1 temporary business visa in order to enter the United States and attend the 2017 Joint IEEE ISAF-IWATMD-PFM meeting. More information can be found on the Visitor Visa page of the US Department of State. Note that the process for getting the visa approved may take several months for certain nationalities.
Invitation letter
If you require an invitation letter for your visa application, please send a request by email to sle34 [at] psu.edu stating your name, talk title and institutional affiliation. The invitation letter will be sent in PDF format once registration to the conference has been confirmed. Please note that payment of the registration fees is required in order to obtain a visa letter.
We ask that you register via credit card. If you are unable to register via credit card, you may request to submit your payment for registration fees via electronic bank transfer. Please contact Sandie Elder, Conference Coordinator at [email protected] to request the electronic bank transfer option.
Visa Waiver Programme
Citizens of certain nationalities may travel under the Visa Waiver Programme, and must be authorized through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization. At the port of entry to the United States, please specify a business travel purpose to the Customs and Border Protection officer.
